Created at Google, a Design Sprint is a structured design thinking framework that help team to quickly answering critical  business questions through design prototyping and testing with users. It help to ensure that you are building the right things for your customers and save money and months of work.

Phases within the Design Sprint

The Design Sprint is organised into five phases: Map, Sketch, Decide, Prototype, and Test. The process does not change regardless of the whether you decide to do 2-5 days or face-to- face or virtual Design Sprint.

Design Sprint Process


Framing the right challenge as well as the right team composition play an important role in the success of the Design Sprint.


As a team, we agree to a long-term goal. and make a map of the challenge.Then we ask the experts to share what they know about the challenge. Finally, pick an ambitious but manageable target to solve.


Before starting ideation, we review existing solutions. Then, each person will sketch their ideas, following a four-step process that emphasises critical thinking over artistry.


After critique proposed solutions, we decide to turn which idea into a testable prototype. Then develop a storyboard: a step-by-step plan for the prototype.


In prototyping activity we turn the storyboard into a realistic façade or prototype. We will use it to test it with five customers.


In this step we interview customers and learn by watching them react to the prototype. At the end of this step , you’ll know how far you have to go, and you’ll know just what to do next.
